Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility

With an excellent reputation and being a market leader in their field, they have a network of operations worldwide. Currently they are seeking an experienced Corporate Social Responsibility professional to join their team. Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to manage CSR and related activities, including audits to review HR and labor practices as well as social compliance issues to ensure ethical business practices at all company and partner operations.

  • Manage the group's labor and environmental audit activities, and the handling of customer and other external audits.

  • Oversee working conditions at all partner factories, interactions with customers on the topic of labor and EHS as well as larger environmental impacts such as water, energy, chemicals, etc

  • Manage customer and vendor relationships and reinforce company's belief as an ethical company committed to finding ways to reduce negative impacts the business might have on employees, the surrounding communities and the planet more broadly

  • Act as the primary contact for sales, the factories, and customers related to organizing customer social compliance audits, FLA SCI assessments, WRAP certifications, C-TPAT audits, etc.

  • Analyze data related to working conditions, specific areas of non-compliance identified by different audits to systematically address common issues at both the head office and factory / operations level

  • Manage company's relationships and affiliations with various multi-stakeholder organizations including FLA, SAC and other projects identified to be of value

  • Guide and support colleagues to effectively interact with and participate in these discussions

  • Organize training and education for all employees on topics of CSR and labor and EHS

Requirements:

  • University degree in relevant discipline with at least 10 years of managerial experience

  • At least 8 years work experience in either Corporate Responsibility, Compliance, Human Resources, Health and Safety, working alongside or in a labor intensive industry

  • Good knowledge of international labor standards especially in China, EHS regulations with a general understanding of the labor environment in Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Malaysia and Mauritius

  • Good understanding of CSR and social compliance work from customers' perspectives especially international brands

  • Good understanding of the global supply chain and what role it plays in economic development and labor related issues

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, presentation, influencing and communication skills

  • Able to manage a team directly and indirectly through complex situations

  • Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
