Our client is a reputable financial institute with well-established in Hong Kong many years. We are currently seeking an experienced System Administrator to look after and perform the day-to-day system administration, tuning and support in the Sun Solaris and Windows environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform system administration and housekeeping tasks Perform system monitoring and tuning when necessary Handling incident and perform troubleshooting for technical problem Able to perform support on system incident when occurring Conduct impact analysis of the system change request Implement system change according to approved change request Perform data backup and restore procedure Perform system security review Review and conduct disaster recovery drill Supervise vendor to apply product patches e.g. Solaris patches, firmware, Oracle database patches, application server patches and etc Work with application team to support application develop and roll out processes via infrastructure resources Liaise with vendors for projects and technical services
Requirements: Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline Minimum 5 years of experience in server administration in Solaris platform Minimum 2 years of experience in server administration in MS Windows Server Strong background experience in Unix shell script Strong knowledge on browser based systems and multi-tier architecture Solid experience in Oracle middleware products including Oracle Weblogic application server 11g and single sign on components Solid experience in Solaris zones virtualization and server resources allocation. Integrity, self-initiative, creative and innovative with analytical, problem solving skills Cooperative, ability in liaising and communicating with other parties e.g. developers Fluent in spoken English and Cantonese
