Our client is a reputable and well-recognized financial institute worldwide, stepping into an innovative business development of digital. On its behalf, we are currently seeking an experienced Application Lead & Architect to join in the initial stage of the digital development.

The incumbent reports directly to the Head of IT, responsible for application design of a core insurance systems. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the whole system development during the SDLC, and undertakes an all-rounded roles of project management and technical application lead for system architecture, design and analysis.

The incumbent will build and lead a development team, who is also required to communicate with internal and external business users and IT counterpart for the understanding of the business and technical needs, to ensure continual success of the IT development and business support, as well as reviewing the current technology position and drive ways to leverage and improve business technology in digital.

Technical Guidelines:

Build

• Similar in one or more: Java, JavaScript, Xamarin

• Programming skills in C#, F#, or any development framework such as .net MVC, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Spring Data, or etc

• Working knowledge of application container

• Good understanding of Integration protocol and Integration container

• Experiences in interactive developer environment

• Familiarity with source code management and change control

Code

• Sound knowledge of Code Analysis such as Coverity , SonarQube, FindBugs, PMD, FxCop, StyleCop, Simian or etc

Test

• Working knowledge of Unit and Integration Testing tools

• Sound knowledge of Performance Testing tools

Requirements:

• A minimum of ten (10) years of solid experience in application development, of which at least five (5) years in a managerial or advisory role

• Proven experience in large-scale application development with the critical technical role in system architecture, design and analysis

• Industrial experience in life insurance is preferred

• Solid and innovative experience with the latest technologies such as micro services, API, JAVA technologies, or etc

• Knowledge of digital landscape and key building blocks for digital platform success

• Sound digital innovation with the creativity to apply them in work context

• Innovative and "can-do" attitudes with good experience and exposure in digital, web, or mobile technologies

• Experience in FinTech technology and environment would be an advantage

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
